Eight questions. Short answers.

Pre-purchase friction lives in the gap between what the product page claims and what shipping, returns, and fit actually look like. Below is every question we get most weeks, in the words people use when they ask.

Q.01

I ordered. When will it actually arrive — not "fast", a number of days?

Most pieces ship within 3–5 working days from a European warehouse and arrive 5–9 working days after order to the EU and UK; 9–14 to the rest of Europe. You get a tracking number when the box leaves the warehouse — not before, because the "your order has been received" emails everyone else sends aren't shipping updates.

Q.02

If I install it and it doesn't recover the floor the page claims — what happens?

You send it back inside 30 days. We pay the courier. We refund within 5 working days of pickup. You don't need to explain yourself, justify the decision, or ship a 25 kg flat-pack at your own cost. This is the entire policy:

  • 30-day window from delivery date
  • We arrange and pay the return courier
  • Refund issued within 5 working days of pickup
  • Hardware not used? Repackage it. Hardware used? Doesn't matter
  • No restocking fee
Q.03

Will this fit if my apartment is 38 sqm with a 70 cm doorway?

Every product page publishes the deployed footprint, folded footprint, weight, and the floor recovered against our reference 38 sqm plan. The flat-pack carton dimensions are also published — none of the cartons exceed 820 mm on the longest side, which means everything fits through a standard 70 cm doorway without rotation. If you have a non-standard doorway, send us a photo with a tape measure before you order and we'll confirm.

If your apartment is outside the 30–45 sqm range, write to us with the floor plan. We'll tell you whether we have anything for you. We will also tell you when we don't.

Q.04

Can I install the wall-mount pieces in a rental without losing my deposit?

Yes — every wall-mount piece in the catalog ships with two mounting kits to choose from at checkout. The standard kit uses screws into stud, brick or plasterboard with conventional fixings. The rental-safe kit uses adhesive plates rated for 20 kg uniformly distributed, with no anchor holes; tested for 30 days at full load on painted gypsum. The adhesive lifts cleanly when you move out — we include the removal strip in the box.

Q.05

If I order the wrong piece for my space, am I stuck paying to ship it back?

No. The 30-day return policy covers wrong-piece-for-the-space as a category. It's the most common reason for return in this catalog and we built the policy around it specifically — not around "buyer's remorse" generically. We will not ask you to justify the return in those terms; we will ask whether the piece you bought failed against your floor plan, because that's useful information for the next person who measures.

Q.06

Is the payment secure? Where does my card data live?

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Clearance does not see, store, or process your full card number at any point — Stripe handles the payment session end-to-end and we only receive a transaction reference. PCI-DSS compliance sits with Stripe (Level 1 service provider). Apple Pay and Google Pay are available at checkout for one-tap orders.

Q.07

I have a question that isn't here. How do I reach a person?

Open the support widget in the bottom-right of any page — first reply is an AI assistant trained on this catalog, second reply (if you ask for it) is a human inside 1 working day. We do not run a phone line. We do not have a 30-minute hold queue. Go to the contact page →

Q.08

Why does your catalog have no search bar and only 9 products?

Because nine is what fits the constraint. The catalog isn't a long-tail marketplace — it's the set of pieces we've measured against the same 38 sqm reference floor plan and found that they hold 94 cm of clearance. If we add a tenth, it's because the tenth passed the same test. A search bar implies a back catalogue large enough to need one, and that's not what this is.

Still measuring?

Send the floor plan. We'll tell you what to buy first, second, and never.

If your question is about your specific apartment rather than the catalog in general, the contact page is faster than the FAQ.
